Welcome, Dear September!

August was not very kind. Lots of tears and despair. I lost 3 people I cared about.

Let me say their names because they need to be remembered.

Sisca Karesina, My dear friend, colleague and students, went to be with the Lord in her mid 20s. She sadly lost her battle against her illness. Such a kind and pure soul. loved and missed by many.

Bung Octavianus Matakupan, our dear big brother, my brother-in-law. A kind, strong and witty person. I will always remember you, bung. Your big big smile, thundurous voice and loud laugh... your willingness to take time off your amazingly busy schedule to spend time with us whenever we were in Jakarta. Your love and dedication to Mami Lien is outstanding. Such a sudden passing of a great soul. You are so missed, bung.

Yesterday, the last day of August. The day I rejoiced with my anak-anak mentor, my students on their graduation day... another soul returned to the Lord.

Danny Tupalessy, it was a shock to hear of your passing. My very active, talented and kindhearted students also gone to be with the Lord. Always easy to lend a hand to help us the lecturers in whatever events we had, a good friend to many, a diligent student of mine. Too soon, nyong.

Life and death are inevitable. We mourn today for the loss of our loved ones. We cherish the moments and all their good deed. Make sure that they are not forgotten.

Here's my prayer that September will be better

Where sun shines and people smiles

May the Vaccine works and people can get back to work

May the war cease and we can all live in peace.

May the Blessing of Lord God be with us all.

Welcome, dear September
