Day 2 Pandemic New Habit Week 1


So here is day 2, Monday 13 July 2020.
I woke up at 5.30 AM when the alarm went blaring in my ear. I had 1/2 glass of water (room temp). Then started my morning devotion. The devotion today talked about loving others unconditionally. Phew... this easy to say but not easy to do. However, I recently made peace with myself and began weaving a better relationship with a friend who have hurt me. I don't know how the person feel but I feel at peace with myself and with God. It took a while. I am not a saint. But I know full well that I am able to forgive and move on because God have forgiven me first.

Anyway, after devotion I began to tidy up the work/study room because it is in such a mess. I began to tidy up Tania's table and sorting through her online lessons' printouts and what not. Then I realized, these will take me longer that I expected. If I continue doing this, I will not have time to go for my morning walk. So at about 7 AM, I decided to drop everything and went  for my morning walk.

I was about to changed my clothes when I felt a bit hungry. So I ate Tania's left over chocolate sprinkles sandwich from last night. It was only a bite. And I think this is not how pre-walk feeding is supposed to be but It'll do. I will learn how to do it better next time. So I put on my walking sandals and gather all that I need such as wet wipes, face mask etc. (there's still corona out there). I did not use sport shoes because it is raining here and the road is all wet. Walking sandals (mine is Eiger) is better coz they wash and dry easily.

Before I headed out, I download a pedometer on my phone. I used to wear my Mi Fit Band, But I lost the charger so well.... The pedometer might not have a 100% accurate counts but it's better than nothing. I am aiming for 8,000 steps per day for week 1.

I went for a 35 minutes walk in a drizzle. Luckily, I was wearing my hooded jacket so I can at least cover my head. I have about 4,246 steps when I got back home. Perhaps I need to add a bit more walking later in the afternoon. I was checking the fridge for lunch ingredients and spotted papaya in the back of the shelves. Still good so I whizzed it up with 3 small banana and a fiber creamer and a dash of lime..... NO sugar and it was really delicious.

At home, I wash the dishes and cook lunch while waiting for my bath water to boil. Then, I took a bath and now Here I am writing what happen this morning. I had a toast with margarine too just now. Alright! Gotta work now. Intensive semester (Semester Pendek) is starting today and I have classes lining up... See ya later

Teaching 3 classes in a day really drained me. I had 10 AM, 2 PM and 6 PM class. The last class ended at 7.30 PM and by that time I was too tired. My step counter shows 5,000 something steps. I know I promised to go on a walk to complete 8,000 but it was raining really hard and I am famished. So I did do some silly dancing with Tania so before sleeping, my counter was 6,774 steps.
Judging from this, then Sunday walk that I did was perhaps around this number too.
Let's do better tomorrow.
