14 of July will mark my 4 months of working from home. The world is totally different now. Online everything is now the norm. I am a lecturer and I teach 6 online subjects. Howeverm I also have an English Course Business which means I am managing, training and overseeing the curriculum and the 16 teachers working with me apart from being assigned 1 Advance class. Safe to say that I work around the clock on my desk.
I don't know about other people but I love the working from home part. Yes, after 4 months, some boredom have kicked in and There was a time when I get really depressed and overwhelmed. But on the flip side, I am enjoying this because I got to take care of my family and myself while working. I eat better and on time, we do safe a lot of money by not eating out. I get to take a nap too. Some thing that I absolutely loved.
Anyway, after 4 additional kilos and the feeling that my pants are about to burst open (LOL... Literarly), I am starting a new healthy habit and documenting it here. My new healthy habits are
1. Drink water when I wake up in the morning2. Have morning devotion (Pray and read the bible)
3. Go on morning walk.
Although drink water is the number 1 on the list, it is no. 1 on the order or what to do after I wake up. My number one goal for new habit is to put God first as I wake up every day, Connect with God, Lay a prayer as foundation for the day. So, you can say that I want to med my physical and my spiritual self. So come for a journey with me.
I plan to do these 3 new changes diligently for 1 week, and we see what happen from there.
Day 1 (Sunday, 12 June 2020)
Woke up at 5.30 AM (usual time). I was a bit peckish and have a small piece of bread, 10 rambutans and a glass of water while checking Facebook, Instagram etc.
I had 15 minutes devotion time where I read the bible and pray on the balcony as I inhaled fresh air.
Today's devotion affirms my ideas of starting a new habit as it talks about prioritizing.
Now, it's 6.51 AM and I want to go on my morning walk.

After I wrote the post above, Tania and Simon woke up too so we ended up walking together. We decided to walk to my mom's house which is about 2.5 Km (8 songs on spotify). We stopped by to buy Lopis (Glutinous rice, Palm sugar and coconut) for me and breads for Tania and Simon plus an Extra for our Niece Mikha. After having breakfast and me rummaging through my old books for things I need, My brother get us a ride home. They dropped off Mika for a play date with Tania today so yes, I have 2 squealing girls now.
-------The muscles in my leg are a bit sore. I think it is because I did not do any warm up. It has already hurting since my walk 2 days ago.

The day was very pleasant. I get to to take about 1 hour and 30 minutes nap. It kinda made me groggy after.
